Special award winners will be featured in the awards edition of Wood Design & Building magazine, circulated to 42,709 subscribers.

Further publicity for the winning entries and the Program’s corporate sponsors will be achieved through:

  • a special advertisement announcing winning entries in a prominent architectural journal
  • awards seminars held at Wood Solutions Fairs throughout North America in 2012/2013
  • in-depth coverage in the Wood Design Awards Book 2012

The Wood Design Awards 2012 will build on its successful history to heighten awareness of the importance of architecture and the inspired use of wood, the only renewable building material.

Award Schedule 2012

June - November 30 2012

  • Assemble jury (a mix of Canadian and U.S. architects)
  • Distribute application forms
  • Deadline to receive entries: November 30, 2012 at midnight
  • Receive and catalogue entries
  • Judging - December 7, 2012

January - March 2013

  • Prepare special awards issue of Wood Design & Building magazine (U.S & Canada)

  • Distribute special awards issue of the magazine
